For eligible travel assignments, airfare and accommodation are covered up to approved budget limits. Nursex can book and pay directly or reimburse approved bookings you make yourself. Accommodation may be private or shared, depending on the assignment.Mileage, airport transfers and rental vehicles require approval and are also subject to budget limits. Before you accept, we’ll confirm what’s included, how arrangements will be made and any costs you would be responsible for.

Assignment lengths vary by hospital and staffing needs. Share the dates you can commit to, including whether you’re looking for a shorter contract. We have arranged emergency ER assignments in British Columbia as short as three days when there is dire need. You must be available for the dates agreed in your contract. Extensions may be possible when there is an ongoing need and you’re available to continue.

Our minimum requirement is 18 months of Canadian nursing experience. Individual hospital and assignment requirements also apply. You can begin your application and submit onboarding documents while your British Columbia/Saskatchewan/Nova Scotia registration is pending. You must hold the required provincial nursing licence before starting work.Once you accumulate 1,000 hours with Nursex, we reimburse the cost of one provincial nursing licence. Hours worked in any province count toward this total. Initial registration and renewal fees are eligible, provided they were paid during the working year and you submit receipts.
